On September 20th, RedStone team members joined the Absentee Shawnee Tribe to celebrate the groundbreaking of its safe room and pharmacy remodel in Shawnee, Okla.
Expected to be completed in March of 2017, the facility primarily serves as a storm shelter and safe room for the community, but it will also double as a meeting/multi-purpose space with the addition of bathrooms, a kitchenette, an accordion partition door to separate the space and tectum panels that will act as a sound barrier. Our team is also adding a drive thru to the pharmacy on the same site, including a canopy and pneumatic tube system as well as a small remodel inside to accept the new tube system. We are also making accessibility upgrades to the property.
