ABC Excellence in Construction
The Associated Builder and Contractors (ABC) of Oklahoma honored RedStone Construction and project partner Manhattan Construction Company with two Excellence in Construction Awards last week.
ABC’s Excellence in Construction Awards recognize the “best of the best” projects by contractors in the region while aiming to raise quality standards throughout the construction industry. Projects are judged on safety, innovation, quality control, scheduling and degree of difficulty.
RedStone’s award-winning projects were River Spirit Casino Resort and Okemah Community Hospital. The project teams were honored at the Excellence in Construction Awards Banquet on Thursday, October 26th at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The expansion of the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa was a two-phase project that included the construction and site work of a 29-story hotel tower, 2,500-seat entertainment venue, six-level garage, grand ballroom, retail center, resort spa, two restaurants, outdoor pool and bar, and additional gaming space.
Okemah Community Hospital is a two-story, 105,000-square-foot hospital that provides radiology, mammography, ultrasound, behavioral health, optometry and laboratory services. Among the facility’s unique design features are several natural elements such as a rammed earth wall, a sustainable technique for building walls using natural raw materials.
